They will challenge the client to prioritize objectives and live their values, as they move forward.

Coaching has evolved from entertainment and sports coaching in the 1950s, through psychotherapy, to a new positive psychology (Bain & Weber, n.d.). Fact is that all have been mandated by God to work utilizing their gifts and talents for the betterment of society (Keller & Alsdorf, 2012). However, people occasionally get stuck or need help figuring out their gifts and talents, the best way to use them, and even a purpose for their life. Coaching can make people feel empowered and responsible enough to act.
